AI Won’t Replace Humans – But Humans With AI Will Replace Humans Without AI. (Karim Lakhani.  Harvard Business Review. Aug 2023)

This one-hour webinar will provide a brief introduction into AI and its applications in healthcare.  Faculty will explore what practicing clinicians need to know about AI's benefits and potential risks.

Why should you attend?  A review of  AI in healthcare reveals significant gaps in current clinical practice. Clinicians often lack a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, hindering their ability to harness its potential for improving patient care. The absence of standardized training programs and guidelines on integrating AI tools into healthcare workflows exacerbates this challenge. Moreover, there is a pressing need for practical knowledge on applying AI in clinical settings, from interpreting machine-generated insights to effectively utilizing AI-driven decision support tools. The ethical and regulatory dimensions of AI in healthcare pose another critical gap, with clinicians often unprepared to navigate issues such as bias in algorithms, patient privacy concerns, and the evolving legal landscape. Addressing these gaps is paramount for clinicians to harness the transformative power of AI responsibly and seamlessly integrate it into their practice for the benefit of patient outcomes.
